Sat, 5 December 2009 ![]() JOE'S PODHOLE Episode 6: Wayne Static doesn't do just any old moronic podcast. Kidding. Seriously, I have no idea why his people even let me within ten feet of him. But they did, and I was able to annoy him, one-on-one, for a good fifteen minutes while aboard his tour bus. He started with his guard up, but an argument could be made that (by the end) he was digging the Podhole vibe. Even though we can't play his songs this episode, I've picked a batch of podsafe tuneage that'll keep your ears ringing into the new year. Hey, don't forget the added value of Paul The Neighbor in the Podhole studio! Plus, we've allowed my dog Susie to join us this week! Yay! Listen in as she ruins everything and costs me fifty bucks. Also keep your ears open for funny chit-chat on ribs, education, Bethany Frankel, Jews, molestation, Fort Hood, poop euphemisms, how metal saved the day, why Joe is dumber than a 5th grader, and why teenage girls pick on Paul The Neighbor. Tunes we used this week: The Sexual Intercourse Polka by The Whiskey Sour Notes, Heatseeker by Valient Thorr, Long Island Princess by The Genders, Said and Done by The Muggs, Kiss My Fist by ADZ, and Toxic Wind by The Rich Boys. Intro music: Screaming Chicken by Joboj. Transitional music: First Date by Danko Jones, The Banishment by Prong, Hotel Hippy Hangout by Zombie Met Girl. Muzac throughout by Al Phillip and the Woo Team. All artists can be found on the Podsafe Music Network, music.podshow.com. Comments[9] |
Sat, 10 October 2009 JOE'S PODHOLE Episode 5: Toss out the razor and start shredding the parm, because Joe's Podhole is going Italian with Lacuna Coil! That's right, fans, Italy's finest babe-fronted band gave us full access to their guitar maestro, Christiano Migliore! Join Joe at Chicago's famous Aragon Ballroom for a one-on-one with one of the old country's most notorious new-gen axemen. You'll also be treated to some guerilla podcasting throughout the venue, as Joe outstays his welcome searching for more band members. Unfortunately, I never got a session with SILF extrordinaire, Christina Scabbia. Hey, whaddya want? At least I got her to do a show i.d. Not into Italians? Don't sweat it! This episode also features killer music and thought-provoking banter between Joe and his wingman Paul The Neighbor. Tip up some Captain while they chat about race in politics, ball scratching, cereal, and any other topics that need a good ass-kicking. Intro music Screaming Chicken by Joboj, transitional music Tunnel by The Blame. Featured songs Confrontation by Otep, Our Truth by Lacuna Coil, Heaven's A Lie by Lacuna Coil, Closer by Lacuna Coil, Pugni Al Vento by Rocky Horror Fuckin Shit, Pops Fight by Ampsex, Custman by HORSE the Band. Join the fun as Damien, Drew, Jens, and Aaron embark on their hardest-hitting interview yet! And the best part is that the guys are actually letting us play their music on the show. Podhole Girl Heather is in tow with Paul The Neighbor, who also sits in for a full studio session this week. Yes, Joe and PTN are once again in the guest room, drinking Captain Morgan and discussing the only topics that really matter: Death, bathroom habits and cereal.

Mon, 18 May 2009 JOE'S PODHOLE Episode 1
Paul The Neighbor and I talk about a bunch of stuff in the home studio, and spin some great music: "Drop Out" by Halford, "Rub Your Legs Like A Cricket" by Wack Ass Egyptians, "Porno Movie" by AmpSex, and "Devil In My Hand" by Uncrowned.
We also interview Rob and Matt from heavy-metal powerhouse CHIMAIRA. They sat down with us during the Resurrection Tour and answered some hard-hitting questions. Then they destroyed the crowd with pure brute audio violence.
Intro music "Screaming Chicken" by Joboj; Transitional Music "First Date by Danko Jones, "The Banishment" by Prong, "Hotel Hippy Hangout" by Zombie Met Girl. Gameshow music "Sweet Spot" by Danny Geis. Muzac throughout by Al Phillips and the Woo Team. All artists can be found on the Podsafe Music Network (music.podshow.com).
